It’s not a contest. 👍🏻 I wanted to share another option that I happen to like very much. 😁
Really nice nnn. I have to try it. It seams pretty fine, along with vim integration
.
this is the one I use too
I also use buku by the same author. It’s a great little tool to organize your bookmarks in a central location on your own system (not in the “cloud”). 👍🏻 https://github.com/jarun/buku I advertise a little bit for this author, because his software works great and is very well supported. 😉

where to check it?
cat /boot/loader.conf

Using mostly XMonad here with some herbstluftwm and dwm as resource friendly alternatives… Unfortunately I have no exciting dwm configuration to share, but if you search for “dwm dotfiles” in your favorite search engine you get tons of inspiration! 😁👍🏻

hmm speaking about dwm... Dows anyone know how to enable swallow patch? It seems it does not work on freebsd... Or i have to download something extra?
.
…And Justice for All https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=DzZ4a-RFKJw It seems to me that these lyrics were written for the time we are living right now…

Maybe this is helpful, I don’t use it so I don’t know. https://github.com/jmanabc/dwm-swallow Or contact one of the authors, maybe this one: • Ben Raskin - ben@0x1bi.net (OpenBSD support) Because: “The window swallowing functionality requires dwm to walk the process tree, which is an inherently OS-specific task. Please contact one of the authors if you would like to help expand the list of supported operating systems.” https://dwm.suckless.org/patches/swallow/
.
ill try it out :) Thanks for your response
This repository for OpenBSD has the swallow patch included without the need for modification: https://github.com/oaspiazu/dwm_openBSD This repository has support for FreeBSD and OpenBSD and includes the swallow patch: https://github.com/swindlesmccoop/dwm-flexipatch-bsd

omg thanks
.
I thought dwm doesn't need any patch for OpenBSD
I don’t know, because I don’t use swallow… the first link (https://github.com/oaspiazu/dwm_openBSD) states: “All patches are vanilla, without modifications or very little modification to make the code just work.”
.
if you clone dwm repo, then cd into the upstream directory and do doas make install, what will happen?
I don’t know, because I don’t use any patches with dwm when I use it at all ( I prefer XMonad ). I just passed along some possible useful information about dwm/swallow…
.
I see
Is there something wrong with that?
Sudarshan
using upstream DWM without patches?
Sudarshan
No I don't think there's anything wrong with that
.
wrong with...?
Wrong with giving the informational links in response to the question about the swallow patch for dwm.
.
No
Okay great, I thought you asked the question about what would happen if you clone and install the dwm repo was eluding to a harmful effect… 😅

Has anyone noticed the difference in file sizes on zfs? I have archive files in my external hard disk with size 164GB, this archive has been compressed by tar. Now I am cloning it to my laptop hard disk and size became 153GB. Is it normal?
Mohammed Alnahdi
Zfs was fast too much. It spent less than which i spected.
SludgyWitch
zfs is king
