Ronit Bhardwaj: Hey everyone I need a help with my program. I have written a virtual memory manager in C. It is working good with frame number 256 but crashing when I am setting 128 ... I am not getting where I am wrong...is someone can help me out ?
Ajoy
ok
Igor🇺🇦
Ronit Bhardwaj how do you expect someone to help if you don't show your code and exact problem that you're having? Without additional info it's impossible to say
Igor🇺🇦
Ronit Bhardwaj that doesn't look like kernel code.
Anonymous
What do you mean by kernel code?
correctmaninwrongplace
Hi all - a quick question, does it make more sense to focus on learning c++11 or c++17?
Both, 11 because it is use a lot, and 17 because it will be used in the future
Igor🇺🇦
Ronit Bhardwaj you were talking about virtual memory management. That's what kernels in OS does. This is user mode code
Anonymous
Yes... It's been a project to write virtual memory manager.. so I have written this code so far and it is working with Total_number_of_frames 256 but not with 128
Igor🇺🇦
Ronit Bhardwaj did you try using gdb ? It should tell you the exact place of the problem.
Anonymous
No I haven't... Okay thanks
-
Hi! I just want to ask. I've been using c++. Do you guys know how to put array in struct?

did you try?
Nope but gonna do

Python specific but probably worth sharing
Igor🇺🇦
Ronit Bhardwaj gdb should stop if you access wrong memory before crash and you should be able to see where it stopped and trace. What did it show? Do you have trace or something like this? What test did you before crash? Is it reproducible?

@IgorPora Let me start my virtual box ... I will show you then what the output is

It says that you have core dump. Did you try gdb youfile core? Did it have something useful?
Anonymous
I don't know how to use it
Anonymous
Never tried
Igor🇺🇦
Ronit Bhardwaj try this https://stackoverflow.com/questions/5115613/core-dump-file-analysis.

What is IDE?
Integrated Development Environment, which is a program that is suited to write code in.
Mr. COwO2 Preis
it's like a normal texteditor but with great features like code completion

Thanks... But not system monitor... I mean home fan system

Well you'll need hardware to do that
