absolutely emacs. You may need plugins and completions, both work best with emacs, unless you want a slower vim
To be precise: vim/neovim become easily slow with plugins that use python, but they're nice for fast edits or small projects. I use vim myself and it's pretty nice.
But if you need to work on big projects, emacs is just better imho.
