If I knew how to help you, I would. Unfortunately I use freeBSD as server only
K
On Arch Linux I didn’t have to edit xinitrc tho, your login manager should start a session for you. I use ly
K
From ly, I just select xfce session and that’s it

Did you read the handbook section on installing the desktop environment? If not, follow to see if it resolves your issue

Did you install libdrm, drm-kmod and xf86-video-amd? The last one is required for some DEs and some X11 config files

congrats, by using any other search engine other than google to fix technical issues, you just shot yourself in the foot; you're not "smart" for not using google no wonder you keep coming back here
Anonymous

searx query : freebsd handbook !it !google !wp !it —> IT !wp —> wikipedia

bing , wikipedia , DDG , Google , ... in a single search engine without any tracking (self hosted)

Pouria
Just do not spamming.
Pouria
Thanks.
Pouria
You can talk in the PV.

Main issue with ddg is they use Bing which doesn't really have great coverage
Anonymous
But not only do they use Bing, ddg "filters" Bing results

source ??

I always back my claims
Anonymous
source means a link that proves your claims. otherwise your claims are completely false

Alright, I understand it may be interesting, but lets make some peace for the rest of the users. @Extensible_Matrix and @clannad, would you mind to move the conversation related to Google, ddg and Android to private? Thanks (:

Seems like you are trying to load some ATI driver. Your laptop only needs amdgpu one. Ati is for older amd cards

If you are stuck in a terminal, you can use ix.io or paste.rs to paste from the CLI: $ less xorg.log |& curl -F 'f:1=<-' ix.io $ less xorg.log |& curl --data-binary @- https://paste.rs

This is generated by DE installation, and should be fine by default. Is telling Xorg which driver to use

Mine is a bit different. Also for a Lenovo, you can try it under the same name. Just edit the file with this: Section "Device" Identifier "AMD" Driver "amdgpu" Option "DRI" "3" Option "TearFree" "true" EndSection
