yep, somebody must draw it ... you can use an ascii program or you do ... then you put each drawing on a function like the script i sent you ... and then you call the function you want to draw with uname or whatever you want to trigger the function

Rberto
I want to create logo manually.
# weeks ago I made a windows 10 ascii art, I used a simple text editor and I was slowly drawing it to finally it was the art that I like it to be.

Hello and welcome @lyghters
ztx
Hey, thanks!
ztx
I'm new to BSD, decided to try out FreeBSD a few days ago. Loving it so far.
ɴꙩᴍᴀᴅ
Awesome! Feel free to ask any doubts (:
ztx
I have many questions, but I wouldn't mind to read manual first. Which reminds me, I've installed offline documentaion, I believe it was en-freebsd-doc. How would one read this offline documentation?
ztx
Is it just a bunch of text files somewhere?
ɴꙩᴍᴀᴅ
ɴꙩᴍᴀᴅ
And pdf format iirc
ztx
Is there some "canonical" path for such stuff?
ztx
Ah, found it in /usr/local/share/doc/
ztx
yeah, lynx or links are totally fine for me
Rberto
I installed "lynx" to read it
if you don't want to install any WM or DE it's a great option
Rberto
But if you will to install any WM or DE, use the web browser what you like
ztx
yeah, I know, I'm not new to Unix, I just was using Linux distributions all this time
ztx
Canonical path?
I didn't know where to look, but I found it already
ɴꙩᴍᴀᴅ
Ah, found it in /usr/local/share/doc/
Yeah. Inside en_USxxx/books/handbook/ There should be a book file in various formats, as well as split html parts
Rberto
I didn't know where to look, but I found it already
Ahh ok, I understand, haha I was confused because I came from linux and I used Ubuntu, so I thought that you was talking about of something like "canonical inc" 😆
Pouria
Do you want make the ascii art "manually"?
Yes. By codes. I mean i don't want to use other programs.
ztx
in konqueror try man:/
I don't have kde apps, I'm on i3wm
ztx
I have found the files already
Rberto
Yes. By codes. I mean i don't want to use other programs.
take a look to this video, In that moment I don't saw it haha https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kRgfL24UdmE

Hi there, I've a question: Why appear those .history.* files?
Do you happen to open more than one terminal at once?
Rberto

Hello here. I am looking for a status bar for DWM with interaction click and notifications. Dsbloc seems to be too Linux centric to be adapted. Maybe you use an another status bar with few dependency ?

I don't use DWM but here are a few I found https://github.com/KaiSforza/dwmstatus https://github.com/snobb/dwm-statusbar https://github.com/joestandring/dwm-bar https://github.com/LukeSmithxyz/dwmblocks

Also, something I wondered while doing this. Why do people put their emails like they are on a hookup website that doesn't allow connections and communication off of their specific "social media" platform?
Anonymous
I would never put my email as "kai[at]fivnex[dot]co"? These Linux users really need to remember their "Keep It Simple, Stupid" philosophy sometimes
Anonymous
Anyways, just a rant about my pet peeves
Stéphane
There is no click nor notifications in most of this projects. Thanks @KaiBSD for DWMblocks project. I will read how clickable module are done and if it can work on FreeBSD.
Phil
i have FreeBSD 12.2-RELEASE r366954 GENERIC i386
In fbsd 12.2 you need to load module by its entire path in the /etc/rc.conf try it otherwise I don't know
ɴꙩᴍᴀᴅ
You made it! Awesome (:
Rberto
Hi, do you use IRC? which IRC client are you using actually?
Rberto
which IRC client program do you use to connect to a IRC channel?
Arminio
That's honestly what you'll want to use :)
Badugar
Hexchat would be a good pick too for a client IMO
Rberto
thanks
The Uncle
which IRC client program do you use to connect to a IRC channel?
you can try polari or konversation too a bit more DE oriented and less tech-style but works good vera well optimized
