./pascal.sh
Thank you such much 👌👌👍👍👍👍
Krond
Check how your nas is mounted.
./pascal.sh
It's mounted where it should be 😍
Krond
./pascal.sh
mh my external hdd did not get mounted the partition is da1p1 but i don't see the corresponding zpool when i look at zpool list
weird
Krond
It should be in zfs cache to be autoimported on boot.
./pascal.sh
do i have to import it somehow ?
Krond
/boot/zfs/zpool.cache <- if this file isn't writable or replaced you will see changes in list of imported pools.
Krond
Yeah, you can import it. If you don't want to keep it for next boot — use -R, it prevents storing pool to cache.
./pascal.sh
➜ ~ ls -lsa /boot/zfs/zpool.cache
5 -rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel 1440 Apr 27 00:31 /boot/zfs/zpool.cache
should be ok i think
./pascal.sh
nice
i just did
zpool import <myMissingPool>
now its there
Krond
India timezone?
./pascal.sh
and it's ,ounted where it should be
./pascal.sh
India timezone?
no I am in Germany, so Berlin Timezone (gmt+1/gmt+2)
Krond
Then check file after import, time should be updated.
./pascal.sh
i just rebooted again to see if the mount point is still there after a reboot
./pascal.sh
yes its all there great
Andriy
./pascal.sh
5 -rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel 1440 Apr 27 00:31 /boot/zfs/zpool.cache
time still has not updated
./pascal.sh
Boot menu also?
autoboot_delay is set to -1 maybe thats why there is no boot menu
Andriy
Krond
Weird... Might it be that real file is shadowed by other mount? Or was it just unable to import on previous boot?…
Krond
Probably ok, I just hope your FS is ok, so you wouldn't end up somewhere on next update…
Krond
Personally I never considered environments before, and now when I'm reading about 'em I don't see a clear way how I can migrate from my /var and /usr mounts...
./pascal.sh
Krond
Check whole list of mounted partitions.
./pascal.sh
Krond
No, ZFS doesn't have fsck.
Krond
mount
Krond
ZFS has scrub, it can be executed on background and will validate all data on the pool.
./pascal.sh
ok
./pascal.sh
ok i did that
./pascal.sh
ok the scrub is in progress
i guess that will take a few hours
pool: nas

everything is mounted where it should be
Krond
Yeah, looks clean, no overlaps.
./pascal.sh
yes great
./pascal.sh
mh i just wondered if there is a web based real-time, live texteditor like etherpad for freebsd, to take and keep notes on the server ?
Andriy
./pascal.sh
./pascal.sh
ok i just setup a hastebin instance,
now i have my own notes server for taking and keeping notes and a hastebin instance for quickly sharing code
