No worries my friend. If anyone else can give me some hints, i will be very thankful.

🇪🇸🇪🇺don_quijote🇪🇺🇧🇪 ⬛🟧
because I am trying to follow what is said here: https://www.freebsd.org/cgi/man.cgi?bwn(4)
🇪🇸🇪🇺don_quijote🇪🇺🇧🇪 ⬛🟧
actually, I think that it is already installed
🇪🇸🇪🇺don_quijote🇪🇺🇧🇪 ⬛🟧
octopkg says that the package is locked...

because I am trying to follow what is said here: https://www.freebsd.org/cgi/man.cgi?bwn(4)
From that man page: This driver requires firmware to be loaded before it will work. The ports/net/bwn-firmware-kmod port needs to be installed before ifconfig(8) will work.
ɴꙩᴍᴀᴅ
ɴꙩᴍᴀᴅ
Next step is to load bwn_v4_ucode kernel module then
🇪🇸🇪🇺don_quijote🇪🇺🇧🇪 ⬛🟧
To compile this driver into the kernel, add the following lines to the kernel configuration file: device bwn device bhnd device bhndb device bhndb_pci device bcma device siba device gpio device wlan device wlan_amrr device firmware To load the driver as a module at boot, add the following lines to loader.conf(5): if_bwn_load="YES"
🇪🇸🇪🇺don_quijote🇪🇺🇧🇪 ⬛🟧
this?
ɴꙩᴍᴀᴅ
try : kldload bwn_v4_ucode
ɴꙩᴍᴀᴅ
If your /boot/loader.conf has the last line you have posted, then it should load at boot time
ɴꙩᴍᴀᴅ
Maybe this thread can help: https://forums.freebsd.org/threads/problem-with-if_bwn-at-install-stage.74744/

Nope
🇪🇸🇪🇺don_quijote🇪🇺🇧🇪 ⬛🟧
It didn’t work
🇪🇸🇪🇺don_quijote🇪🇺🇧🇪 ⬛🟧
I tried to load the drivers too by hand
🇪🇸🇪🇺don_quijote🇪🇺🇧🇪 ⬛🟧
And this is the result

🇪🇸🇪🇺don_quijote🇪🇺🇧🇪 ⬛🟧
Did you check the photos that I sent?
🇪🇸🇪🇺don_quijote🇪🇺🇧🇪 ⬛🟧

Maybe it has been asked earlier but, which laptop is it?
🇪🇸🇪🇺don_quijote🇪🇺🇧🇪 ⬛🟧
No laptop. It is a desktop computer with an Asus ac88 card

Broadcom BCM94709R4366AC You can try both bwn(4) and bwi(4) although it's not a BCM43XX so maybe it isn't supported yet. I have no clue since I've never used wifi with FreeBSD outside my thinkpad.
🇪🇸🇪🇺don_quijote🇪🇺🇧🇪 ⬛🟧
It is a Bcm 43
🇪🇸🇪🇺don_quijote🇪🇺🇧🇪 ⬛🟧
4366
🇪🇸🇪🇺don_quijote🇪🇺🇧🇪 ⬛🟧
The installation procedure is to install the package and then load the module on the kernel, right?
Mikhail
Yes, we need to bring more love on bwn+bhnd in terms of testing. If my understanding is correct, there are few missing bits like phy code for BCM4313. I have no this card, no usb-minipcie adapter, so I can't hack driver to make it working.
Mikhail
I'm familiar with bhnd code due to involvement into development of this driver from MIPS part, not wifi part.

Your help is more than welcomed :)

Oh, so it refers to the last digits then. I had my doubts. Thanks for clarifying

Not only EU 😔 EU only excuse is bureaucracy but when one "european" country can't do this simple fix for itself it's a great shame.
Andriy
hm?
I mean bureaucracy and stupidity are really different problems.

looking at armv6 images there, and see armv6-RPI-B ( or close to that) but which RPi is that for! I've got both a 2B and a 3B, (the 2B hasn't booted a freebsd image yet! long story, never mind)
