hi, do you know some book about "curl" ?
Most direct "book" is man page. I guess you may find more content about curl inside a Linux/*nix general book, but I don't know any specific about it (I searched the o'reilly catalog and they refer me to Linux' books) hint: man page is a link
Carl
Thank you, I found it worthy of sharing in the @CLIway.

Joseph
whilst looking into it just now i thought cbsd and cloudbsd were the same thing.
Joseph
looks like nothing has actually come of cloudbsd.
neb
Oh, me too. How does CBSD look? CloudBSD seems to be some service of sorts...

Hi

Hi
hereforyou
so I updated my laptop hard-drive on a desktop to 12.2 version - and now I find that the ability to suspend to ram is gone (was working perfectly fine earlier). What can I do to fix this?
hereforyou
I've already upgraded - was on 12.1 , so had to do it for updates ..... after doing it I lost the ability to suspend to ram
Jay
Otherwise, backup + restore
hereforyou
Have you snapshoted before the upgrade? Roll back
didnt snapshot actually - but even if I rollback somehow - I wouldn't be able to get the updates anymore - so I had to upgrade to a newer version
Jay
zfs rollback man.freebsd.org/zfs

Hi guys, my font is not work as well. i looked to my configuration files in /usr/local/etc/fonts/fonts.conf ~/.fonts.conf But my bar font and rofi font is not work as well, but my terminal and telegram fonts is work as well. what should i do?
i always use the ~/.local/share/fonts folder to place the fonts. But if you only have troubles with rofi and the bar, maybe you are not launching this commands with the flags you need to change the font. you can try to load the same font in other programs ... if you can do it, then it is because you chosed the correct place and the problem will be in the launch order
Carl
each wm is different, you must see your wm manual or ask in a group where people use the wm manager you are using ... you have a general question about fonts and the answer will be the same in bsd than linux ... si it is much better if you ask where people use it
Pouria
it seems my /usr/local/share/fonts/TTF is not readable. i have a directory in ~/.fonts/ and it has 2 font, in my window manager config i set font from ~/.fonts/ and works properly.
Pouria
but my rofi is not works as well.
Carl
so you have the correct place for the font
Carl
what order do you use to launch rofi?
Carl
try to use the flag -font or change the rofi config ... and what bar are you using?
Carl
rofi -show drun -font 'the name of your font'
Carl
sorry .. you must set the size too ... this would be ...
Carl
rofi -show drun -font 'myfont 14'
Carl
i do not use rofi ... i use lemonbar and i compiled the bar with xft support to show my font because the lemonbar in ports do not have it .. so i don't know what font you are using and what rofi can show, sorry
Carl
here you have a very good tip
Pouria
What do you mean?
Carl
he gave you a complete tip .. he can not compile for you 😕

./pascal.sh
FreeBSD 13 should be released soon That major version update should get a decent boost in networking performance Take that into account when deciding between Linux and bsd for server related workloads
./pascal.sh
Is it faster than Linux though?
Good question We will have to see So far the beta seems to be on par

a year or so agoi 'burned' Freebsd ( the indicated ones onto different) sd cardsand connected monitor to HDMI and keyboard into usb then powered on ( in different sessions, different days) but in both cases the Pi or the BBB just laid there with nothing on the screen.
