GApps alternatives
Monety - See your imaginary value (money) converted into another imaginary value. 21st money isn't based on anything but the belief it's a resource to use. Save from tourist traps.
NewPipe - Mimimal Youtube
Nextcloud - Open source file storage. Install YUNOHOST for an easy installation of nextcloud and open a port on your home router. Depending on your threat model this would change.
oandbackup - backup data
Obscuracam - blur images and remove metadata. Make it harder to track the photographer. Have to use the default gallery or phone camera app else things break.
Openshift - change the RGB values in the LEDs your android device uses. Decreasing blue makes it easier on the eyes in low light.
Orbot - Tor proxy
Orfox - hardened firefox for Tor(Orbot)
OsmAnd~ Offline maps. Never get lost anywhere because GPS is calculated on the phone itself as minimum of 3 satellites around the earth is constantly broadcast all the time due the US public money. The GPS receiver in the phone looks at the signals coming from 3 different satellites to determine the location, therefore 1) GPS doesn't track the users and 2) everyone in the world doesn't pay for it. It uses the information from OpenStreetMaps. Use with Brouter as the routing algorithm to get more efficient bike routes.
Pixelknot - hide information in text. Some websites compress images and breaks the algorithm for the hidden messages (I think. not 100% sure). Fun when works.
QuickDic - offline dictionary.
Rumble - Off-the-grid social network. Messages are distributed over the LAN or Bluetooth. It doesn't send messages over the wide network like you would do to connect to facebook therefore impossible to sensor and is very private.
Shopping list - save money by avoiding the psychological manipulation shops use on their customers to buy things they didn't go out for.
Silence - Extremely secure and private chat over SMS for Android devices. Anyone controlling the towers will know who you are talking to because of metadata however it's better than nothing. A friend might be poor and stupid because the price per message over data is usually cheaper than the price per message over sms.
Smarter WI-FI Manager - Disables wifi when the device isn't near a wi-fi router by scanning for cell towers. This prevents very low cost tracking and attacks for wi-fi
Survival Manual - Literally a survival manual with information taken from publicly published material from the US Army.
Tasks - todo list. can sync to a server too.
Termux - Better terminal and has a package manager.
Transportr - Find timings for public transport.
Yalp Store - Open source google play store.
use FDroid if on Android
idk about iOS
set up vpn based in non compromising countries

Now since so many people Are active.. Happy to see that.. Let me come in
Aadhar is a fantastic project. When government plans a project.. It's plans it on the basis of many things... Not only one.
So government of India ?? has to tackle terrorism from Pakistan ??. Sleeper cells so called. So they need some way to identify citizen & sleeper cells. It's just an idea & no idea is full proof. U all can see so many terrorist attacks in Europe & USA... India.. Why? Bcz even after technology... Smart people.. Nothing can never be perfect. Just how perfect it can her is the motto.
So common back to aadhar... It's a mess in implementation. It's a mess in detailing, by which I mean.. It's ok the government had the details of the citizen but only only if be agrees to be answerable everytime we citizen ask question regarding how they are keeping our data. Which they(no country, not only India) does.

Due to its implementation.... It's become an privacy mess.
Casual approach from government planning departments... I guess intellegence agencies dominated the discussion panel.. Bcz this kind of approach can only be shown from intellegence community as they are only trained to gather information in any way possible.. Rather tuning about privacy ?
