Atom/VSCode is good as a text editor. I used to use Sublime which is better than both of them, but instead of pirating it, I decided to use Atom.

Do any of your puny editors have functionalities for playing games, web browsing, mail, calendar, IRC, messaging contacts, word processing, and everything else?
Emacs has it all.

The time I'm using to learn enough vim to be dangerous I could be using writing code. Some people are fine just installing something like atom or vscode.
And if CLI is a must they'll be weird like me and use nano
I feel like I'm alone in that decision

The best thing in my work is that they say: your work consist in connect via SSH to a pivot machine, and from there work in the servers. Use whatever you want that allow you to do that
