Ppl made golden cellphones (quite literally) that only a person with a lot of money (and no use for it other than 'burning it') would buy - and they had Mozart's 40 as one of their ringtones😁

I remember getting excited when I heard it on the news that soon I could have a Lion's roar as a ringtone instead of the polyphonic ones (or worse, the mono ones). Really, clever marketing, some nice visuals, (and banking on) - okay I agree the iPhone's UI is solid - also brand loyalty made the loyal users buy Apple stuff
