Like the emulators or Wine.

Yes

Furthermore, a guy appeared in Mattermost, said he was writing a browser for ReactOS!
Can
Since ReactOS could not handle modern browsers.
Can
All of these show that there's demand for ReactOS.
matt
idea: building a website database inspired from ProtonDB capable of listing/keeping track of popular and lesser-known video games capable of running on ReactOS by implementing a from-worst-to-best tier rating system (example: bronze, silver, golden)

Hyperbased in Hyperspace: the backend is basically done, its mostly about taking the entries from working-programs and adding them to the "database"

Look at our Twitter and decide if ReactOS is dying!
The most important part is GitHub statistics. Project is losing developer interest, despite rise of general public attention
Can
We may fewer devs committing (don't know full statistics), but in the recent times they commit more
matt
but, isn't the project already busier towards participating more often to code reunions and relative contests like for example google summer of code?

https://insidetelecom.com/the-google-monopoly-case-and-its-causes/ "The Browser Monopoly  There is a strong Google monopoly case when it comes to internet browsers. Many come to accuse Google of making their websites only work on Chrome. Users report that random bugs and errors hinder their browsing experience when browsing Google-owned websites on other browsers. For example, YouTube users found it hard to use certain features while browsing for a while, and the issues seemed to be fixed magically when they used Chrome, Google’s browser.  When Google launched Chrome, it was based on an open source called “Chromium.” After a while, many others followed, and even Microsoft’s edge shifted to use a chromium build. Opera is also born out of chromium, so if more than 60 percent of people use Google Chrome, more than 70 percent use Google to browse the internet when you factor in the chromium-based browsers.   Finally, you only have Firefox and safari, which constantly push the narrative that Google keeps trying to further its monopoly. With more than 70 percent of people using Google to surf the internet, it technically is a monopoly."

Don't bite the hand that feeds. Chromium is open source and even while greater browser engine diversity might be desirable, it is still a net good when a software project uses it, and for this project, especially for the purpose of getting NT 5.x/ReactOS online.
Chungy
Also that summary seems misleading. Google created Chromium from the onset. It's the open source base for which Chrome (proprietary) is derived from. At first, Chrome bundled things like Adobe Flash and Adobe PDF, but I think there's no functional differences anymore.

The more centralized, the more controlled the process, who dictates the rules of the game is google, the software monoculture impoverishes and limits new ideas, creating an environment of complacency!
Can
The monopoly that changed hands from Microsoft to Google is out of our interest at the moment. My point is - there's strong demand for ReactOS and someone is trying to create a functioning browser for us, while we cannot run latest Chrome or Firefox.

the road is long to completition
