Linux has some NT-behavior APIs to assist Wine performance, and there's been a lot of great strides that allow native Direct3D calls on GPUs now

Technically it's not limited to Wine, Gallium has some native Direct3D tests, but for a ton of reasons, nobody is going to be using Direct3D outside of Wine :P

no, wine wont do native calls to gallium9 by default, you need to install wine-nine or manually place the dlls in a default wine installation and configure it
