I don't think parted has FAT resizing. Try using GParted instead (which does)

I remember using mandrake Linux and windows 98se on a shitty Compaq presario pc, with the crappiest chipset and integrated video chip ever existed. That was instability, when solitaire lagged and double clicking on a card could wreck your system (under Windows. Under Linux the programs crashed, it freezed for around 10 seconds, then desktop reappeared)

Reactos is a net improvement over that.
