On the next boot, it will give the Press CTRL+ALT+DEL to logon dialog box

Have you tried the Make CC a client of MM PR's build artifact? It might fix that. Mine occurred when shutting it down via the dialog box.

<hbelusca (Gmunu=8PiG/c4Tmunu+)> killing the VM will usually lead to any operation pending or being done in the registry to not being completed, and since we don't have any registry journalling and recovery as Windows has (and that triggers at reboot), the only thing that can happen in ROS when freeldr is loading the SYSTEM hive is to hit some failed assertion in the registry code, and you get that bugcheck screen.

My issue happens when a file not related to the OS is being overwritten and I close the VM
