Nah. It makes a funny joke but it misses the intent of the GNU/Linux name. The foundation (and arguably the operating system itself) of the OS is GNU, with Linux as a kernel instead of GNU's own Hurd. I think there is probably a good argument to be had for systemd as an integral part of the OS, but it's also a lot less integral than GNU is.

No, it really isn't, and X is going away in the near future.

X is an optional addon basically, one that could provide the resources to run a GUI, but unless you have an NVIDIA card, it's not even the one you're likely to be running anymore.

Ubuntu touch is no longer developed by Canonical, just maintained for the 16.04 version However UBPorts is doing something interesting with a nice follow up
