This is not a bug, that's same behavior as in Windows

Vista had some really nice landscape wallpapers. Better than W7's selection imo (and disappointing W7 didn't just include Vista's)

It happens because color depth is 8-bit once you installed the driver, but next it got changed to 32-bit

even after going for 32-Bit color depth reactos will forget that selection after a restart and send you straight down to 256 colors (or less, dont remember right now), though to be fair i havent had the time to play with this release just yet

I think ReactOS is a huge project. If it had a larger developer and collaborators community, an implosion of Microsoft's monopoly would be inevitable.

some are complete purists and will not switch, or else linux would've seen a explosion due to the fact that wine exists and runs most windows programs (is a bit of a stretch for what i said though)

Yeah, people seem to be too lazy to migrate from the Windows-like environment to a Unix-like environment. Although this is contradictory, when they start talking about a Mac OS X, which seems to have almost "genetic compatibility" with Linux.

Judging by the fact that GTA V is a Direct X 10.1 game, and that it runs on Vista (kernel 6.0) we should see that soon enough (I don't exactly know, but it might be something like in 2022, with ROS moving so fast)

But iirc this measure has been enforced for code verification/control
