#ReactOS 0.4.8 is coming with a #bombshell feature! Don't miss the Release News this time...It's still experimental but...works!
Nicolas
We strongly recommend russian users to use a VPN and/or proxy service to mask their real IP. With that trick you will be able to use Telegram.
There are many free VPNs over there, our favourites are:
— Proton VPN
— Opera browser default VPN

Tor might be a better idea. VPNs aren't that secure.
Nicolas
The source of "Interfax", familiar with the decision of the agency, said that the providers will start blocking the Telegram from April 16.

VPN usually. You only have a single hop for your traffic to go through
Chungy
which also makes it much easier for a government actor to monitor you.

in short, no

It should show at least Windows 2000 vs. ReactOS.

ReactOS 0.4.8 is now in sourceforge.net, but in www.reactos.org web still shows version 0.4.7 and there is no releases notes about the actual version. 🤔

Windows 95/98/Me have a thing where they only issue CPU IDLE requests on a known list of CPUs that it will issue it on... of course that means all the current Core i7s and AMD Ryzens aren't on that list :P
Running setup /p j when you install it though forces it to use the feature and ignore its builtin list of CPUs. Bam, no more 100% usage all the time. :P
Chungy
*has a Windows Me VM he uses for old stuff sometimes*
Vladislav Brezgin
so why winme?
Chungy
why not
Vladislav Brezgin
why not win98se?
Chungy
1. Has Windows 2000 colors and icons.
2. Explorer is brought up to par with Win2k
3. Much more stable than Windows 98 SE
4. DOS programs work better than in Windows 98
Vladislav Brezgin
3. You srsly?
Chungy
yes
Vladislav Brezgin
Mmm
Vladislav Brezgin
It's the first time when I hear WinME is more stable than Win98
Chungy
I'm aware of the memes, but the widespread belief of it being unstable is pretty much entirely due to shitty hardware drivers from vendors. Don't get that in a VM, only the drivers that come built in. Runs great.
Chungy
well, actually I did install a video driver from bear-windows so it can do 24-bit color and high res, but that's the only external driver I installed :P
Vladislav Brezgin
Chungy
yeah, it'll support any arbitrary resolution you want as long as the VESA tables the hardware reports has them. With VirtualBox, you can add custom resolutions pretty easily.
Chungy
and I've ran Windows Me on real hardware with a Pentium 2, up to around 2013. had widescreen there with an nvidia card :P
Chungy
my VMs are almost always ran in 4:3 only there. It's just what I do, lol
Chungy
including a Windows 7 VM I run at 1920x1440, a Debian VM... so forth.
Vladislav Brezgin
Chungy
ah
Chungy
you'll need to add custom VESA resolutions via vboxmanage. bear-windows only shows the resolutions the 'hardware' reports :P
Chungy
oh yeah... Windows Me also supports USB tablets, which VirtualBox can emulate so I get seamless mouse in and out of the window. Windows 98 doesn't have that xD
Chungy
forgot about that reason

Do you post this every single day...
Just today only. Sorry 😅.
It describes the 2 methods of blocking Telegram.
We expect that next Telegram versions will have a built-in antiblocking feature.

The new site is garbage though
Олександр
It has to be updated but we have no web devs to do it :(
Eris
from a design point, it is somewhat better than what it used to be
Eris
although of course, it could be revamped a lil
Олександр
Yes but it's Drupal and also incomplete
Eris
the resemblence is strong
