okay, i'm here with a tricky-ish question. i'm trying to implement tcp rpc server on linux epoll (in edge-triggered mode, which is more efficient compared to level-triggered). i've also seen that people use threads to read/write fds, but that logic is mostly wrapped deeply into programs under 300 layers, and digging into them ends up with me losing the trail. so my question is that which options do i have to implement threaded epoll fd reading properly (and efficiently)?

my project does not have any libraries, so no libev, libevent or libuv suggestions please (i've used latter but always ended up with bunch of problems (spontaneous segfaults without any reason))

But it is very easy to understand the results, look at that fps count, it does make you get a sense of how slow that machine is
