I suggest you to read the pinned message. You can also hit the Wikibook about C programming

Guys without the statement include namespace std, I can use functions from namespace std by prefixing std:: right? Example std::count()?
Anonymous
It is using namespace std;. In the idea, yes, that is the case
Okay so I'm using count() to find no of set bits in a string. When I include namespace std it works fine, but when I try prefixing std say, A.std::count() it gives error std::count is not a class member
Anonymous
Ludovic 'Archivist'
Yeah included those libraries
So you properly used #include <algorithm>?
Ludovic 'Archivist'
count as a function takes a pair of iterators and a value to match
Ludovic 'Archivist'
It counts the number of matching elements within a container
Ludovic 'Archivist'
What you want is likely the size of the string: a.size()
Anonymous
No. It's a binary string. Counting the no of 1s
Ludovic 'Archivist'
Members of objects are usable from the moment the object exist and are always on scope of the object
Anonymous
It is not a.std::count
Removed prefixing std, works fine now
