Ariana
C++ much easier and no reason to use C tbh
Dima
why you go for c++ if you can even code on javascript and be happy
BinaryByter
C++ much easier and no reason to use C tbh
This is exactly my point
BinaryByter
why you go for c++ if you can even code on javascript and be happy

are you actually...
BinaryByter
Are you implyng C doesn’t leak
He is implying that he is good enough for C not to leak
Dima
if it leaks then you are not so good dev
BinaryByter
He is implying that he is good enough for C not to leak
Which is stupid and probably wouldn't pass security tests
BinaryByter
if it leaks then you are not so good dev
if it leaks it means that you are a human
BinaryByter
everybody makes mistakes
Talula
If you can't handle leaks then you shouldn't be programming in C/C++, write in python...
Ariana
if it leaks then you are not so good dev
logic: if your site allows xxs you aren’t a good dev Might as well try to overtake twitter
Dima
everybody makes mistakes
each leak is crucial in high load
D
Quick Question guys: Is read and write to mmap blocking or not ?!
Ariana
If you can't handle leaks then you shouldn't be programming in C/C++, write in python...
Leaks are easy to handle, but you need to make sure 100% no leaks
Dima
you can set flags so it won’t
BinaryByter
each leak is crucial in high load
exactly. which is why C++
Ariana
Quick Question guys: Is read and write to mmap blocking or not ?!
blocking?
BinaryByter
C+ makes it way easier
BinaryByter
Quick Question guys: Is read and write to mmap blocking or not ?!
mmap doesnt work like that
Dima
I am feeling cringe for you guys there
BinaryByter
it maps a memory adress to a page
BinaryByter
it maps a memory adress to a page
on linux you CANNOT make a variable that isnt mapped
Talula
Leaks are easy to handle, but you need to make sure 100% no leaks
Why? You have tools to check if there is a leak.
