Suggest project ideas for new c/c++, I want to include those projects in resume, portfolio. So I don't think calculator/ tic tac toe/ to do list , will stand out from the rest of the candidates. But at the same time time it will be my first project

So I want it to be beginner friendly but also to impress employer or showcase that I can build better project than those common simple calculator

And what are your interests? If you will be doing it, it is good that you are interested in that kind of project

I want it to be logical and with interesting problems, I don't want it to be long boring without much logic behind it, just complex long boring syntax

I've not worked on VPNs myself so can't assure you if it's good for you. It mostly depends on your skills. If you're completely new to C++, you may go for other projects.
