Int32_t temp =(int64_t)(a*b)%Q Here a*b works perfectly but when I try to do modulo Q the values changes or differs the answer See spam? Quote the spam message in the group and reply with /spam

Hi guys! I'm wondering how strong is use snake_case instead camelCase in a modern C++ code... 🤔
Cayetano
i read that is up to you use one or another and although you can mix them... but what are you think about that?
Pavel
Hi guys! I'm wondering how strong is use snake_case instead camelCase in a modern C++ code... 🤔
I almost never see snake_case in C++ code, except when used in constant names but then it is upper case snake case.
Vlad
And some C/Posix stuff
Vlad
Not much else
Vlad
Obviously everybody can do whatever they want
Vlad
I just see PascalCase and camelCase way more often
Vlad
In user code that is

Cayetano H. Osma is now approved by the group admin and can send messages without any restrictions Thanks for you opinion! I ask that because in some languages like Python, is almost a sin use a different case than they suggest in their documents... See spam? Quote the spam message in the group and reply with /spam

Thanks!

Unfortunately in C++ they didn't agree on a specific code style before a lot of libraries and projects got written using completely different styles, and then it was too late
Vlad
Thanks!
It's a wild west in C++
Vlad
Everyone formats their code how they want
Vlad
There are different gangs of code styles that are at war with each other
Cayetano
OK I will remeber that @nwordtech

I use this in my libs Snake case for functions Camel case for variable names Pascal case for types Upper case for global variables defined outside of any function 😅

Yeah, almost suspected we needed to call the girl eradicator squad to ensure the internet remained women free... What the hell am I even talking about?
Vlad
That what I was afraid of

Welp cybersec trannys are the real menace to society
Meh, if I want a computer that has no government tracking or brand tracking I am not going to the local white cishet tho
Vlad
🤔
Ludovic 'Archivist'
So you'd search for the local furry to do it instead?
Nah, I just ask Leah Rowe or something, just like anyone needing absolute manic energy and good performance ask Sy Brand to make their library implementations of C++ infrastructure classes

Don't ask meta questions. In other words, don't ask to ask. Questions like "Does anyone know XYZ?", "Has anyone used XYZ?" or "Can someone help me?" are all considered meta questions because they don't specify what your actual problem is. These questions give the impression that you want people to approach you and offer their help as if they don't have any other work to do. Now doesn't that expectation make you look like an idiot? If you have a question ask it directly. You are more likely to get a response that way.

False positives happen, if I could range-ban certain countries from joining we wouldn't need such a bot here :D

What kind of response on this do you expect?
Ludovic 'Archivist'
Vlad
A ban, possibly
Welp chat's already dead, we need to stray them in the proper direction first, otherwise it's gonna be dead for real

currently, the bot is deleting all messages that considered to break nohello rule as whole. It might be a good idea to also delete messages that start with "hello" kind of words?
Cayetano
Thanks!

my message above has less than 35 bytes of information i strongly disagree with its removal
Maxim
You are as pointless as a marble
if you want to scare the participants away by randomly deleting their short messages just because they start with "hello" contains "hello" or "hi", that's up to you
Abbasi
if you want to scare the participants away by randomly deleting their short messages just because they start with "hello" contains "hello" or "hi", that's up to you
Saying "hi", "hello" and so forth in most of the technical communities - if not all - are not that needed/welcomes. Just ask your (technical) question and enjoy a free answer.
Abbasi
As said, it's not welcomed in (most of) technical communities. Just don't waste your time and instead ask questions like below: struct S { int operator()() { return 5; } }; auto f = [] {return 5;}; int main() { constexpr int val = S{}(); // doesn't work constexpr int val2 = f(); // works } Why?
Abbasi
Aha, if you start your technical question with a leading "hello", I don't see any issues with it personally.
Ludovic 'Archivist'
You're confusing messages that have a greeting with messages that have nothing but a greeting
Hence why I proposed greetings + 35 bytes as it is unlikely one would provide a constructive question or a constructive answer in 35 bytes minus whatever bytes required for the greeting itself
