obvious troll. @admins, please
yeah just lets have some fun for now
Roxifλsz 🇱🇹
what about quantum computers
That's an entirely different topic, and a topic which I have zero experience in
Engineer
The concept of 0 to 63 makes sense to you?
Asdew
No.
Harsh
0 to 63 same as 1 to 64
Asdew
0 to 63 is 6 bits.
Engineer
Ok now I understand. Let me take time to explain
Engineer
Please do wait

There is no difference between 0 to 63 and 1 to 64. These are abstract mathematical symbols. You can find every math proof in the world and add 1 to each natural number and axiom. All proofs will remain just as true.
Harsh
Everything is binary to a computer in terms of numbers, so adding one won't matter TBH.
Anonymous
i edited in "each axiom" later
Dima
maybe both
Dima
Bhaskar
Sorry, i misunderstood you on your overwhelmed part. That's why I referred you to that article

But the Digital Image Processing concepts might mess up, like how will we display a a perfectly black pixel with something starting from a offset apart from zero?
Sourabh
Ohh, I see.
Engineer

You misunderstood what I wrote
Engineer
Computers generally count from 0 to some value. For example 0 to 31 for 32 bits, 0 to 63 for 64 bits, 0 to 7 for 8 bits and 0 to 15 for 16 bits.
Engineer
Anyways let me write an article but don't fret it is just a concept of number systems
Anonymous
No. I'm just replacing the symbol 0 with 1 and so on. We can replace 9 with a 0
Anonymous
i.e. just changing the symbol. Keeping everything else same
Anonymous
And -1 will be 0?
No, ... -21 -0 -9 -8 -7 -6 -5 -4 -3 -2 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 0 21 22 ...
Engineer
Interesting conversation right?🤓 Fantastic!!!
Sourabh
Painful to head
Engineer
Now that is good, and it is only a concept like in the Matrix
Sourabh
No, ... -21 -0 -9 -8 -7 -6 -5 -4 -3 -2 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 0 21 22 ...
I need to give a second onto this. Have studied signal shifting but this is now in terms of binary digits.

Originally Answered: Why do computers start counting from 0, and why do humans start counting from 1? Because computers are based on binary, and binary has two numbers: 0 or 1. 0 means voltage off, 1 means voltage on. That is how the first computers were designed and built - they had two states, on or off.

Cased closed and hopefully lost in translation and we can continue to have a good Sunday morning

this is not about signals or anything physical. just replacing the symbols. think about changing the digits to your native language's script. does it change any mathematics around the symbols?

yeye the experiment is useless

That is why a loop which tests for zero is much faster

hey) i cant understand why it calls constructor without arguments, how to solve that?

V01D
Are you writing a game engine?
Огни
why, when I have a problem - I can't solve it for a hours, but when I ask a question - I immediately solve it
Огни
im so stupid
V01D
yep
Oh cool. I am too. I am new to all of that. Can I DM you in the future for any questions?

Comparing to zero is faster to the processor because processors have dedicated opcodes and syntax for that, like jnz and other such opcodes. There's not much of anything apart from that, that would explain why zero is computationally faster.
Sourabh

Sourabh
Ok, got it.
And yeah the Boolean algebra too, is easier when we do it with some variable as zero.

You solve the code in the dream?

Try to write down your dreams in the morning with a pen and paper note book...keep a journal you will learn alot
