the program gets input as a string and then converts it to double using std:stod. when user inputs alphabetical characters ("aa" for example), std::stod is throwing out_of_range exception. can somebody help me, please

in documentation, it is written that out_of_range is thrown when the read value is out of the range of representable values of double

Could someone eplain how to lock data using pthread_rwlock? I dont understand where is data stored in this struct, or its just struct with flags?

locks are not container. they don't store any data. they control how multiple threads of same process can access parts of code. rwlock prevents multiple writers access a part of code while allowing multiple readers access that part.
