How?

I had written a program to calculate XOR of numbers from 0 to the given number and i fed it with input of 10^(13) and already it had been more than 30 minutes still the system is processing😂.

What is XOR ?

Exclusive OR

I have heard it before!

I am wondering that i had written the program in C++ then it is taking this much time what if i write it in python😂.

Which is the most preferable Linux distribution for Programmer's?
As main os? Debian and ubuntu derivates are neat. Maybe arch or gentoo, if you have will to set it up
Nameful
I'm enjoying Fedora, but Ubuntu is solid I'd say
Nameful
And no, don't download the driver from NVIDIA's website

That's absolutely irrelevant. As long your compiler and tools work who cares about OS?

Distros have different packages versions. Some update packages faster

Problem is that each time i restart the system it stuck, to open the system each time i need to manually set the Nouveau.modoset = 0

And another thing is that some drives are of NTFS type these drives are mounted i can access the data of these drives but i don't have write permission on these NTFS drive's i tried a lot but after restarting the write permission automatically gets lost

And why should anyone care about that? If your tools work - it's all the same. OS is irrelevant, user programs are those that matter (unless of course you develop something to specific OS)

Yeah, that happens if the drive was hibernated last time Windows used it
Even though my machine is dual booted Ubuntu and windows 10 but i remember i had not booted it on windows since a long time more than a month.

You're using wrong algorithm if it takes more than a several milliseconds. You just need to know if the last number is even then last bit is one, 0 otherwise. Then shift and repeat for the next bit. That way you'll know all values of each bit after XORing all your numbers

How do I add a kernel boot parameter? - Ask Ubuntu https://askubuntu.com/questions/19486/how-do-i-add-a-kernel-boot-parameter
Nameful
I had done that.
Hmm, all right. Maybe you need to change permissions via chown then
Nameful
Not very familiar with NTFS unfortunately

I do use modern C++ features. With arch it just works, with ubuntu I have to search for ppas and stuff
What features are you talking about? Does GCC9/clang 9 work? You have the latest C++ features.

I'd suggest stepping through the program with gdb to see on which line is crashes

Saved my 29 secs
