Your first C-family language? C# need fast great language you can use for your project? C++ need fastest cross-platform solution that will make your final app faster than anything else | lowlevel app? C
it really depends on what you are doing and if just want to start programming and learn your first language, go with C# unless you know that you want to master low-level, then C it is
Marián
but it really depends on what he is trying to do, maybe he does micro-chips (where u can go with c++ in theory) and you definitelly want to use c as a concrete block there
Marián
Gympl
lul then i understand i guess
Anton
haha . assembly?
I mentioned assembly to show that simpler != easier.

The reason is that C is a smaller language than C ++. that's why he recommended it to me. as for the goal, I am still a beginner, for now I just want to learn a language from which to start and then broaden my views. Having said that, do I continue with C ++ with the books they sent me? or would it be better as a first language to make another one?
As a first language a lot of people would recommend going for Python, which I don't reccomend if you're going to use C-like syntax languages in the future, so I would go with C# as first and foremost language, and C++ would probably cover every other case you'll ever need (unless a job asks for another language)

Nah This one's @c_cpp_India, not ours
Asad
obviously, c-lang is like a piece of shit in front of c++
Asad
and any other programming languages
Asad
c++ is the most powerfull

You're welcomed :)

In terms of what
i mean you can leterally do everything in c++ while others have limits because of high-level they stay on
MᏫᎻᎯᎷᎷᎬᎠ
Asad
about c i can tell that c++ offers a lot of things which clang really lacks
Asad
C++ can do anything But it's not the best choice for anything
yeah but remember that in 80s and 90s people managed to do everything with c/c++
Asad
Because they haven't choice
and how did they creat some choices? with c/c++
Sasuke
and how did they creat some choices? with c/c++
And why did they do that if they have "powerful" language ? To simplify things to suite the purpose
Asad
to facilitate the process
Asad
i am speaking about power not about suitabilty
Sasuke
i am speaking about power not about suitabilty
Will you ask a wrestler to play a chess game? Because he has the Power?
Sasuke
C++ is powerful but not suitable for everything
Asad
Will you ask a wrestler to play a chess game? Because he has the Power?
your example is like using an informal language say, english, in computer science
Asad
which is scary
Sasuke
your example is like using an informal language say, english, in computer science
Nope my example is fine both are humans who fight who play chess
Asad
ok it makes no sense to argue with you any more

has anyone done anything with AI/deep learning in C++? I know that it exists and just want to know peoples thoughts on it
Anonymous
Surge.rs
There are a lot of cases when people train a model with Python but use it in C++
that would make the most sense, but was talking about the actual training process
Surge.rs
the python/lua/R etc frameworks tend to hold your hand (exception is pytorch) and do alot of the work for you. is this the same for C++ frameworks? or do you just build them from scratch knowing the different bits and functions that make up those large networks
MᏫᎻᎯᎷᎷᎬᎠ
And why did they do that if they have "powerful" language ? To simplify things to suite the purpose
People faced a problem in the 90/80s They wanted to focus on solving problems rather than writing programs correctly
MᏫᎻᎯᎷᎷᎬᎠ
and then Agile came along
In more technical Python, Java and so on came along
Surge.rs
cause python and java are correct lol

Checksum is CRC?
Pavel
Checksum is CRC?
There are different algorithms, CRC is one of them
José Manuel
CRC is a type if checksum
Pavel
like this
I don't understand what you're trying to say And don't post screen photos, please
Pavel
If you want me to guess what algorithm is hiding behind these "Checksums match" and "Checksums differ" then I can't
