No, dude Googling is much faster than asking in a chat Think about it
MilkBeforeCereal
I think that doesnt apply to all cases
it is when you know what you exactly want, which he did
Anonymous
Ooh in that case i prefer to googling

Is #include going to be deprecated in c++?! And if not Why?!
NO, it will not be deprecated ever. Why -- because it is the core language mechanism used by everyone, everywhere and it will be used.
Ilya
max is ambigious
this little word "max" has too much semantics in both C and C++ so PLEASE if you don't want to have too much trouble DONT name your own objects like this, use "Max" or "maxx" or "makz" or whatever you want, except "max". I even will not be explaining you the whole complexity of the problem.
Ilya
Not enough argument
I don't care. This is the right answer, take it without explanation
Ilya
The same reason why we are getting modules in C++20
Modules are not related to this, you (we) need pure C interoperability, then we need to include pure C headers , then we need preprocessor.

See this
Yeah, I've read about this before. He's proposing a different thing, basically a system that is above modules and allows to use different C++ versions in different modules. Using epochs will not change anything for includes. So deprecation/removing them would work the same way as if there's no epochs in the language: either all your code support it or none of it. So we're returning to the problem with dependencies. Also modules are not here yet and insisting on completelly replacing includes with modules in the next three years would be radical, since we can't say for sure how many developers will find transferring to modules benifitial for them (there are opinions that modules aren't that good in this version). Even if we could replace them in C++23, there are chances that modules will slow down compilation times for big projects or cause some other problems that we can't see yet, because we need to try to use them in different cases first.

for size of keytab[0], why I get zero?
Lol this is the most hilarious varargs bug i've ever seen
Artöm
%d reads keytab[1].count, which is 0
Ilya
I personally is not going to use C++ modules.
Ilya
why?
Because modules are useless.
Ilya
I personally don't want to study this thing for nothing in return.

In which IDE was GIMP programmed? 🤔🤔

In which IDE was GIMP programmed? 🤔🤔
It's completelly cross-platform so I believe different people from the development team can use different IDEs Why do you ask?

hi, what's wrong with it?
Pavel
hi, what's wrong with it?
I'm not sure but shouldn't it be g++ instead of gcc
Pavel
also maybe it's an old compiler version or if it should be a C program, then AFAIK in-class initialization don't work for C

hi, what's wrong with it?
I'm not sure that you can assign a value of C struct member variable like that
Artöm
You cant
Artöm
Only C++11+

do you recommend a good ide with an integrated compiler for C?
many
Yes and no. Sometimes it's not easy to simulate the production environment solely depends on a compiler
