Can a Telegram bot be programmed with C language?
Anonymous
Google?

🙄
Francesco
Google?
Why not here?
Sid Sun
Can a Telegram bot be programmed with C language?
You can do anything in any programming language.
Sid Sun
Different languages are used so you can choose the best tool for the job, some languages are better at one thing and others are at a different thing.
Artöm
I think it's not possible
It isn't s proof in a slightest
Francesco
It isn't s proof in a slightest
Do you know another site like that?
Francesco
olli
Can a Telegram bot be programmed with C language?
yes of course you can. Telegram bots are basically HTTP / REST clients https://core.telegram.org/bots/api
olli
using c++ and boost beast would probably be a smarter idea.
I don't like Beast that much thoug. I'd probably rather go with RESTinio
Stephanos
never seen that before,... ill look into it. thanks for pointing it out!
Francesco
Can you suggest me any projects that require only the use of C language? (like a Telegram bot for example)
Stephanos
I don't like Beast that much thoug. I'd probably rather go with RESTinio
FUCK! That is easy! really a great tool for setting up REST! at least client gets
Francesco
I am good at C, but I don't know other programming languages
Jussi
I don't like Beast that much thoug. I'd probably rather go with RESTinio
I used beast for a project of mine... It's pretty hard to get into. Especially as I hadn't used the asio library before
Francesco
again, you can write a TG bot in C you can use libcurl for example
I can't find a microservice site like hook.io that use C language
Stephanos
i find the concept of asio still confusing to be honest
Jussi
I got around it pretty well
Jussi
But yes
Jussi
Making more complex apps with asio
Jussi
Is a pain
Stephanos
Making more complex apps with asio
haha,... yeah. thank god most of my targets are too small to fit exceptions and/or libraries :D
olli
I can't find a microservice site like hook.io that use C language
either - choose another language - find another hosting provider - host your own service, you can run your TG bot from your computer as well
Francesco
How can I host my own service?
Stephanos
Francesco
on a machine maybe?
I'm sorry, but I don't know how to do it
Stephanos
No.
ever used telnet?
Francesco
ever used telnet?
No, I have never worked in this scope
Stephanos
No, I have never worked in this scope
sorry to tell you, but building a webservice from this point is quiet hard. since ive got a couple of minutes, i'd try to explain how something like a network-service works. it wont be a hundret percent accurate, but ill try to break it down to the basics
Stephanos
first thing i usually tell our newbies at the company is: the internet is a lie, there is no such thing as the internet, just a couple of wires and another persons computer
Stephanos
the internet is no different from you and your sibilings sitting in one room, having a switch and playing games via network
Stephanos
or just connecting 2 computers peer to peer
Stephanos
or even just connecting 2 chips on the same PCB with a databus
Stephanos
@Francesc099 do you have XP with databusses?
Stephanos
yes no maybe?
Francesco
I think no
Francesco
I know what is a databus
Stephanos
okay. but you know a telegraph? like two guys, sitting in two different rooms, having two wires connecting the rooms. both guys have a siren and a switch. if one side hits the switch on the other side the siren rings.
Francesco
Yes, of course
Stephanos
now, what we can do is encode a message into a sequence of rings and quiet pauses
Stephanos
the guy on the other end will listen and write stuff on a piece of paper
Stephanos
in modern networks, whether it is SPI, i2c, CAN or ethernet, we are not doing so much different
Stephanos
our two computers are connected and if i hit a couple of switches, you get something written into your memory
Stephanos
lets assume, we set up a network on that level. we'd call it level 1, the physical layer.
Stephanos
now. assuming that we are not alone, sharing the databus, but there are 4 other people, having this architecture sends every message to everyone on the databus
Stephanos
which results in everyone having this in their memory.
Stephanos
still following @Francesc099 ?
Stephanos
or questions?
Francesco
Wait a minute, I am translating to italian
Ash
or questions?
Actually it's all your talks but i read the explanation by you, they are great
Ash
Thank you
Stephanos
Stephanos
ill just wait for @Francesc099 do get a handle and then ill continue
