True, because they never felt the need to use a foreign language to express themselves. 😊

Thanking a bot is something you do to make yourself feel better, not to really thank it
Shivam
Yeah, Rose is best

Better in terms of what? I prefer C++ and I don't think rust will replace it. This might be true for some projects though.
And with next standard, Rust will get even more useless and by 2026 prolly a pipe dream.

Is that chat just for general c/c++ or also Linux/Posix
Francisco
Spirit
Well anyone know the difference between writing to stdin vs stdout
Spirit
I'm writing console codes CSI escape sequences to move the console cursor and not really clear about whether I write them to stdin or stdout. I was thinking stdin because that's what I think happens if I type them with the keyboard
Francisco
Ronak
Ok
Spirit
so when you use write() it should be to stdout or stderr and when you read() it could be stdin() stdout() or stderr() or do you not read from out/err

There is one true thing and it is that deprecating stuff in C++ takes between 15 and 30 years

We should honestly make every few versions a 'thrashing' version where we remove bad stuff
BinaryByter
std::thread
thread isnt that much of a kludge
Ludovic 'Archivist'
std::thread
Na std::thread is pretty fine
BinaryByter
auto_ptr
