getop is suppopsed to read and store digits. I dunno
🐰🐾 سمیه
thanks everyone
olli
it just takes one of them into account. the first one.
yes, but it reads the + as well. Then it checks whether it is a digit or a dot. It is neither.. But we read and removed it from the queue. The next call might however rely on the + so we need to put it back in again - hence ungetch() is called.

thanks for good explanation🌹

Guys... imagine I wrote a program for simple calculator using C...I can use it because I've got a compiler..but I want my friend to use it...how can I do that?
Pratham
Is there any automatic app generator...such that...the app will be created and my program will be pasted..?
Mihail
pasted? the compiled program is an executable that you'd have to send to him
Pratham
send him the executable
Imagine he is a common man with no programming knowledge
Mihail
Imagine he is a common man with no programming knowledge
clicking on a .exe doesn't require any programming knowledge
Mihail
also you are on the same OS right?
Mihail
because if you aren't then it's a bit more compilcated to compile a program for a difffent os, than the one you're currently on
Pratham
Like...I just have to create a file with .exe extension and send him.? This will enable him to calculate using my program?
Mihail
you don't create it
Mihail
your compiler does
Pratham
also you are on the same OS right?
Yeah...it's windows
Mihail
and do you use an IDE?
Pratham
I programmed and compiled on Ubuntu terminal
Mihail
so you aren't on the same os
Pratham
Mihail
he's on ubuntu too?
Pratham

VS Code, Sublime, Vim. Somewhat from that list.
Mihail
No... windows
then i'd suggest you google about cross-compiling as it's a bit more compilcated
Pratham

If both of us are on windows...is there any easy way ? I'll do it in turbo C...and imagine he doesn't have turbo C
Mihail
and read the group rules
Mihail
we won't help you with an outdated IDE
Pratham
Okok...
Mihail
Google it. Just send him the executable
Isn't Turbo C like an emulaed DOS or something tho?
Mat

Idk. I only know it hurts my eyes everytime i see it

What's this all about?
I guess I'm late for the answer. Above talk wasn't abt IDE choice?
Mat

Probably it has only a very old interface 🤔

Okok...
Borland?

...edit your code somewhere, and just make a set of build scripts tuned to your toolchain.
Anonymous
Describe a bit your project, if you may.
Anonymous
He wasn't referring to you 🤔
Sorry. I'm exhausted at all...

Here we go again 🙄🙄
thats what I just thought
🐰🐾 سمیه
Hi, I think in line 6 function getch() assigns the first char to C, and so why it assigns the first char to C again? should'nt it assign the second char to c in line 3? because the first one was previously assigned to C in line 6.
Raul
Let me guess, "pls someone explain what getch() does, pls?"
BinaryByter
and think what the function does

please if you don't want to join the discussions, at least don't obstruct.
BinaryByter
He doesnt really obstruct here
BinaryByter
he just points out that by now you should be doing the research yourself
