i3 (and tiling wms in general) are great on small screens, also when there are not many windows at once, but I always feel like I'm not 100% in control of my windows when I'm using them, making me uneasy... ;)

Interesting :) We have different experience with it: i love to use it with large Screens.

I think it was working great for me on small screen like on my private thinkpad, so I had a browser, terminal or telegram on separate virtual screens, but right now I have ~15 windows opened at once, on 3 monitors, and I like them overlapping and only showing what I want to see
