Why so? Hardware restraints? UX?
It is rock solid, never had any problems with it, has all the features I need, doesn't change much between releases, and for work I need something I can depend on

KDE is awesome but sometimes from release to release stuff happened like menu bar got hidden for no reason etc; Gnome is cool but I had subtle lags which annoyed me, Mate or Cinnamon had crashes when I tried to use them, meanwhile XFCE satisfies my needs in 100% so why change ;)

I also really, really like the old Win95 UI :x XFCE can be made to look similar, plus it has all the features that were missing there and I use
the only thing I miss is the ability to group windows into tabbed ones, like KDE or PekWM could

Well, I format my /home partition by mistake, and recover it after installation with testdisk
So, installation was good
