KDE4 lately was practically at the same integration level, but it wasn't as stable IMHO

I wouldn't use it right now, but I think - for its time - it was pretty good ;)

From the KDEs I got to know, KDE4 was my less liked.

Michał

KDE3 was completely different, and I liked it better, but I have to say that I respect the ideas they had

I am super happy with Gnome, but the wayland-flickers-in-vms bug is annoying, made me use RHEL 7 more than Fedora.

Kohane

I loved the way it looked like and how customizable it was, but it would crash for so many random reasons. And on top it used to be quite slow with all the Akonadi stuff running on background.

Marc
20.06.2017
13:21:17
so I am currently using mainly RHEL 7 until that is resolved

All fedoras include x as settable fallback, that should stop wayland flickers

Marc

But the reason to develop on Fedora was actually wayland...

I actually love PLasma 5. My only problem is that splash screens have no "Get new stuff" button. If you like what comes by default, good, if you don't bad for you. I don't like that.

I started to play with Sway on Wayland yesterday, pretty awesome, but still I think there are many rough edges (some X-based apps misbehave, no copy-paste for me etc)

Curious, do you think i3 will eventually gain Wayland support? I was thinking about this and was hoping it would eventually work its way upstream.
