Not really, some sources like f-droid are OK, others like pirated apps from torrent sites aren't, better to have a choice and rely on the users' common sense..

What is this transportr? ? In case of the shopping app, i need to use the app because there are app only offers (yeah....shame on me), also it's easier to manage my purchase and selling trough the app compared to its mobile site.

Phew. 1GB of RAM will be tough these days, but you should be able to do it. I'd use Xfce, unless you want to experiment with a window manager, like i3.

I use XFCE on my AMD E-450 + 2GB DDR3 RAM laptop too, and it works fine. Thank you so much, Justin. I'll try tomorrow, now it's a bit late. 2.42 AM ? Good night!

uhm, the sound mixer, something like this, right click on the sound icon and look for something like a mixer, then look out for telegram volume. I've used Plasma for the last time about 3 months ago, I think, and I don't remember very well..

Michael

try starting a song/audio message in Telegram, and if it works, sound notifications should work too, if those are enabled from your Telegram Desktop Settings

Yeah, no problem. If you're feeling adventurous and want to learn something new, a window manager will probably give 1GB of RAM a run for its money. :) But I think Xfce should be able to cope well enough with those specs. I've never tried with 1GB, so it's hard to say.
