I can remember akonadi eating a lot of ressources, some glitches with the Nvidia drivers( I had a gtx 280) and more than one reinstalling because of needed packages being removed when uninstalling applications

I think one needs compromise
you can't be 100% free software
that requires not even using the internet
but your own private network detached from the internet
which defeats the purpose

for example, if you use a GPS while you drive
your physical position is recorded
but using a GPS has benefits
sometimes you have to compromise and give up certain freedoms for the system to work
I use WAZE when going to work to avoid traffic and such
but the only way it works is through crowd sourced data

Anxhelo

Using a phone to communicate, they have your GPS location from the SIM card, they can record your calls, the persons you know etc. so you get what I mean..

[Anonymous]
20.06.2016
17:05:19
which means we all contribute to it and waze collects that data to then sell to advertisers as well as improve the service
it's a sacrifice one makes

GPS is good for military and etc, but for normal people it is really bad. Seriously, if you constantly use GPS, you lose the skill of orienting the space. It is bad. Oh, and privacy, too. :)
