I let the system notify me, except when I'm waiting for an update in a specific programme. Then I run DNF update myself.

what about kexec reboots? did you try it?

On that notice, when I run dnf updateinfo, I get n Security Updates, m Bugfix Updates and k Enhancement notices. Are those all cathegories of updates or there are more?

I just check if there are updates availables, later pull thems and apply them before turning off. In 6 years using Fedora I have known about 2 bugs that caused some issues after applying updates, I was hit by one but easy to fix the answer appered on mailing list and specialized sites on Fedora. The second one only affected people using dedicated graphics cards. So upgrading in a daily basis is safe on Fedora.
