I am a full devop - we do the servers, the network, the front and backend.

And everyone in our team can atleast work on each thing - we have pros for each bit tho

Why wouldnt i? On the Base most Languages are basically of Purely Semantic Difference - it doesnt change fundamentally how each works

Its a Server Language - and it may not be the best at that but its solid

The only weakness are binary Trees and some other specialized Workloads

And thats a default Setup. Strap a Haproxy before it, use Memcache, pack ORM and Opcache into it and tweak the settings a bit

And the Real World laughs at you and continues to shovel out more Wordpress Sites, Applications for Businesses, High-load Sites and it continues to have some of the most users helping you out, writing better Frameworks ect. Php can be shit if you allow it to be, use a Framework and you suddenly have something thats nice to use.
