With virt-manager all the Work is taken from you, you just need to setup any vm, install spice tools (Windows: spice-space.org > Downloads > Windows Binaries Linux: spice-vdagent) and you can setup virtual folder sharing, network passtrough or or or. or you make a Network Samba share on the host

thanks, i'm using the virt-manager now, but couldn't find how to share files between host and guest, it has a function callded "file system pass through", which could mount a vmdk or vdi or other kinds of virtual disk in the guest system, but can't just share a folde or path, may be i should use samba or ftp?

No, dont create qcow2 files for sharing files

but instead use it as Guest OS drive

because .vmdk and .vdi arent really supported

also, you can make a new Directory Mount in the manager on the left side and select any folder under it instead of a .qcow2

Pardon for interfering, but I ran across a strange problem recently while mounting win7 shared directory in Fedora with mount.cifs. It has been successfully mounting when I specified local ip of win7 machine, but refused when I tried to specify address through win hostname. samba-winbind was installed and added to nsswitch.conf. Maybe you can tell something about that strange thing, please?
