hey I am running fedora 25 on macbook pro natively so this is a problem I have been facing for a while I am able to login as <user> only from GNOME with any other DE like Gnome classic etc I am stuck in a login loop although I am able to login as root from them. I tried giving my permission to the <user> please help

Just a thought, but GNOME is the only DE that uses Wayland. Perhaps your X install is corrupted or some packages are missing?

I believe it works, but needs some manual configuration. I haven't tried it myself, so I could easily be wrong.

Gnome Classic is not a different DE, it's just Gnome Shell with some tweaks to use it in low resources machines. It's weird that you get that loop. Did you try something different like KDE or Mate? Or maybe a live of any other spin?

and you can delete the gnome stuff after you install kde
