That is definitely objective...

if that does not work use the original Nvidia driver but be prepared for problems
I believe when you have Linux and Nvidia you should be prepared from the start

Third Party Repos always pose a Risk. Only enable trusted ones

RPMFusion = Maintained (i think even by the Fedo Team) Nega = Who?

The guy works good and you should read his posts on how the things done and what is being done. Actually he is involved in bringing dual GPU support to gnome

I hate it too. But this is nothing to do with GPU drivers packaging

i bet repo is a folder excluded via htaccess.

that would be deeply problematic to me

Rpmfusion is just the same third party repo.
he maintains his own, doesn't he?

If you like it, and want to, help bringing it to rpmfusion. Otherwise it's just another option. No reason to spread your absolutism here.

Rpmfusion is official Stuff, much less to be worried about.

yes, and this also https://www.if-not-true-then-false.com/2015/fedora-nvidia-guide/
This actually, if rpmfusion does not work this is the way to go

Serge

No matter who works on that repo support. It is third party.

Tobias?
30.11.2016

No freaking way it's official
It has mostly actual Fedo Maintainers working on it and a Ton of People co-eyeing anyhting

over a repo maintained by a single person

And that is the difference to more obscure repos - of which nega's is part of

Is there a way to list all the packages installed by a specific repo?
su -c 'dnf repo-pkgs <repo-id> list installed'

To get the ID's su -c 'dnf repolist'

Hello... I'm using a Dell Latitude E6500 with Nvidia. Gnome Software is offering an upgrade but I'm unsure about what to do. What would you recommend? (My graphic card worked out of the box with Fedora 24, just in case you wanna know, but it's X I think, it's not Wayland)

Kohane

I didn't need to install anything. When I installed Fedora 24 it worked out of the box.

Excellent! I guess DNF is better than Gnome Software, right?

DNF is my personal preferrence.. Maybe because I've gotten used to it.. I think both will work..

Kohane

Yes, I don't like much Gnome Software, but maybe I'm biased. I rarely use it although I like the general idea and its interface.

BTW, what is the command to upgrade from DNF? I typed dnf upgrade but it only update my stuff, I see no system upgrades. Am I missing something?

No, it would be fresh install

The recommendation by folks in #fedora is also to avoid it, it apparently does things in risky ways

I don't know how but Fedy messed up with my cuda setup and also my GPU drivers

Also the VLC error I encountered was because of Fedy

Agree with you. I tried Fedy a couple of time and left it. Didn't work. Usually I just use RPM Fusion with or without Postinstaller for codecs.
