Yes and no. RPM based systems and DEB based systems have some important differences.

Thats strange - usually there is an option that says "switchable graphics" or "integrated gpu" that means you switch off the internal one.

The fedora's iso are the best, they provide classic bios boot, uefi boot and Mac, but unetbootin doesn't handle it well.
