Well, I'm assuming that you're in Gnome Shell. If so, I still see the positioning of displays in Settings => Devices.

No, but maybe closing the lid doesnt disconnect it properly and leaves gnome unsure which is main and whay has disconnected and all.

You could try to boot in docked lid closed mode to remedy this

well, whatever,, i found the work around. I have run fedora on this machine since 23 and never had this issue..

i just tried to reboot dock and it's still an issue

There's some software like Green Recorder that I hear can capture Wayland, but I'd much rather be able to use OBS.

I agree. Things like Skype calls can't take advantage of this, which ironically we just got support for screen sharing on Linux with Skype ?
