I have a question for those that have AMD Radeon hardware. I'm running Fedora 27 on a machine with an RX 580 and a 144Hz display over DisplayPort. Though, I am only seeing a 60FPS output from this in games and on the desktop, and yes, I did disable Vsync.

@Kohane, using X instead of Wayland did solve the problem. Thank you very much.

It did work well, it just didnt allow that application to go beyond the actual display refresh rate.

Well, or that the profile from the display might be broken a bit and all.

or Xwayland can't into > 60 fps, which i'd report as bug tough.

Oh, I never saw those win mobiles... there were blackberries and iphone I suppose (I don't remember the dates) but not those. But it makes sense because we were in the middle of crisis, so I don't think many people was akin to buy expensive stuff.

Boxes is easier, virt manager is a little bit more complicated but way way better and it doesnt require you to load kernel modules that destabilize your system and make bug reports worthless.

I think in most dists .. the update .. updates the repos .. the upgrade .. installs the new pkgs ..

You still can use yum install for the same reason. And it will be an alias to dnf.
