Also, updating your driver - the native kernel driver should work good enough

I uninstalled native driver - it tend to crash all the time. Instead, I used one from GitHub but it was abandoned and finally removed.

Dont disable native kernel drivers that are under active development and will be better in future versions

Ok, another question. Who uses the same stick (8192CU)? Is it ok now with Fedora and latest kernel?

Quoting Phoronix: In Kubuntu "They also replaced Amarok with the Cantata Qt5 music player"
I'm pretty sad to see how Amarok lost its former glory with rewrite to 2.0

Tobias?

Unless you have mpd running Cantata is of little to no use for you. And i dont think kubuntu will deploy mpd systemwide.

Michał

yeah, just looked at what Cantata is and I am also pretty convinced that this is not true
"Cantata Qt5 music player replaces the unmaintained KDE4 based Amarok as our default for this beta. Please test this change. This is a Music Player Daemon frontend, so configuration & usage may be unfamiliar. Most users will want to select the 'basic single user setup' in the first run wizard. "
Unless they really did great job with mpd configuration, I think giving that to causal users will be a trainwreck

Uhm. I assume you’re trying to install Fedora Workstation. Am I right?
Did you try another distro or Spin? Just to be sure that it’s not a problem of Gnome Shell or Fedora.

that rpcbind.lock IS NORMAL
having a rpcbind on a iso would imply a custom and agruably insecure setup
