this should return a list of server ips

perfect, open the settings for your wifi connection, switch to the tab IPv4 Settings and add 8.8.8.8,8.8.4.4 to the field Additional DNS servers. Then reconnect your wifi

Notice: This will expose some of your DNS request to Google (since they own the DNS servers) feel free to use any other DNS service like OpenNIC

On Fedora you should use packaged versions of Python modules, not pip.

If you want to use pip, run it with --user option or inside virtual env.

Don't install any packages via PIP/PIP3 as root.
