Since #FreeBSD 13.3-RELEASE version the Raspberry Pi images will have powerd(8) daemon enabled by default to fully utilize its 1.5 GHz CPU speed and not run on minimal 600 MHz when powerd(8) is not running.

Proprietary driver needed I believe. It’s available as a package but you need to be online to install tue package. Unless you copy it via flash drive. And then install it. I don’t remember the name of it.

Hi! Has anybody realized how HW offload works? If I have enabled VLAN HW CSUM on the NICs, will I see any bad checksum-related drops in the sysctl net.inet.ip.stats counter?
Actually I see those dropped packets in tcpdump, because it doesn't reach my FreeBSD router from other one, but counter tells me that no drops there.

XZ (liblzma) is not a dependency of OpenSSH; rather, it is a dependency of libsystemd, which Linux maintainers have integrated into sshd through patching.

the technical analysis of libsystemd in this regard, by pottering himself, shows all too well the failures of software engineering that he's consistently guilt of imparting into the linux world. that he recently was bought off by microsoft only further proves his disparaging of that ecosystem — however, systemd's general failures of design have explicitly driven additional adoption of *BSDs from linux users who are tired of that garbage.
