It's the shell's PS1 parameter, echo "$PS1" will show its current value that you have to change, by removing the right part in your environment profile. Where did you get /usr/home/user?, it's more likely ~ when the shell is in $HOME (/home/user).

I would definitely recommend not setting your PS1 as an environment variable
Environment variables get inherited from the parent process to the child process
For example you have a colored prompt for your tcsh shell, but as soon as you enter an interactive sh shell,
your prompt will be mangled because PS1 got passed down to it and it doesn't understand tcsh's prompt syntax
Set PS1 as a normal variable that has to be read by each instance of a shell,
Like for tcsh you can put it in your .tcshrc
