I know but it's not related to your TutorialCategory

And why do you have __init__ in your TutorialCategory and TutorialSeries ?
Disekurity
And why do you have __init__ in your TutorialCategory and TutorialSeries ?

I guess Python was better in working with data so I guess after that it will work faster?

I was looking on the internet for a good vps provider where to host my project in django (a2hosting or godaddy), but none has support in python, someone who can recommend me
Héctor
or should I hire a dedicated server?, I would not like to deal with the configuration of digital certificates and email.
Anders (izzno / gooood) 🇳🇴
Hm... This is quite the open question...
Petr
Look at comparisions on LowEndBox.com & simular resources
Anders (izzno / gooood) 🇳🇴
What do you aspire to do? D) you want to be a full stack dev and how do you feel about devops / Linux servers.
Anders (izzno / gooood) 🇳🇴
"I" would use a droplet from DO and wrap my software in a container behind a let's encrypt container from i.e. Linuxserver
Anders (izzno / gooood) 🇳🇴
But this is another dimension of learning...
Héctor
I'm a full stack developer and I'm comfortable using GNU / Linux servers, preferably debian, and I'm learning Docker + Kubernetes + CI / CO + 12 factor + heroku but I find it a bit difficult and complicated
Anders (izzno / gooood) 🇳🇴
Then you should know what to do 🤔
Héctor
I'm good at configuring nginx or postgresql, but very bad with digital certificates and postfix or sendmail
Anders (izzno / gooood) 🇳🇴
Ok, then my tip would be to look at linuxserver.io 's let's encrypt server which is basically a nginx proxy.
Petr
Or just deploy without containers :D

Or just deploy without containers :D
That's a sysadmin nightmare... In today's world not to use containers is like working on a Tesla with a Ford manual...
Anders (izzno / gooood) 🇳🇴
The maintenance difference is beyond mentioning
Petr

Putting everything in containers is not a "gold buller"/"single solution for all problems", adds more points of possible failure abd decreases stability in general
Anders (izzno / gooood) 🇳🇴
Or let me concrete, I would not take your software... 😁 But then again, this might not be that serious
Anders (izzno / gooood) 🇳🇴
There's a "right" way for everything. It's not an "one solution fits all", but I'll be damned if one line of code could bring down an entire server...
Petr
I disagree with this is so many levels...
Yes and no. Writing good and production-grade dockerfiles requires strong sysadmins skills
Héctor
I am working in a boilerplate hosted in gitlab, django + celery + channels + customization user model, trying to improve my productivity, but integrate runners + docker sucks , I know that this is de correct way
Petr

Perl says that there is more than one correct way, and python ideology - that there is only one correct way, and i think that perl ideology is more correct here
Anders (izzno / gooood) 🇳🇴
The day you only see one solution to a problem is the day you should be woried...
Petr
Agree
Petr
But putting things into containers without strong sysadmin skills will lead to problems
Héctor
👍🏾
Anders (izzno / gooood) 🇳🇴
But putting things into containers without strong sysadmin skills will lead to problems
Maybe... But this is a skill every developer (not part of a large scale operation) should master ?
