I usually use pythonanywhere, I asked this question on facebook and a lot of people prefer Heroku too. PythonAnywhere is not favourite choice, nobdy told me why? Heroku seems to be quite expensive

Not exaxtly sure what you looking but aiohttp could be an option if you looking for non blocking i/o, is also a nice web framework and has web sockets integrated by default and I think theres also some socketio library

It's also work same as media resources when user upload something.
Whereas in heroku, that's a tricky part. You have to use other storage service for that like aws s3.

because pythonanywhere it's like a "shared hosting", heroku is PaaS [platform as a service]
